Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of the iOS app "HazeLog" (the "app") provided by freetokyo (the "developer").

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.

2. What the app is

The app is a tool for logging and visualizing coffee roasts. It does not guarantee the outcome, quality or safety of any roast. Roast curves, ROR, DTR and weight-loss figures are calculated from the records you enter.

3. Roasting safety

Roasting involves open flame, high temperatures and smoke. The app only assists with record keeping and does not manage or guarantee the safety of the roasting itself. Handle heat sources, ventilation and equipment according to your equipment's manual and applicable law, at your own responsibility. Please keep safety first and do not let the screen distract you.

4. Pricing

Core features are free. HazeLog Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, not a subscription. Purchases and refunds are handled under Apple's terms, and a purchase can be restored with the same Apple ID.

5. Data storage

All data is stored only on your device; the developer does not hold a copy. If data is lost through device loss, failure or app deletion, the developer cannot restore it. Please use the export feature as needed.

6. Prohibited use

Do not reverse-engineer the app, use it for unlawful purposes, or infringe the rights of the developer or any third party.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and except in cases of the developer's willful misconduct or gross negligence, the developer's liability for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the app is limited to the total amount you paid in connection with the app. Where such a limitation is not permitted by mandatory law, liability applies to the extent required by that law.

8. Changes

The developer may change or discontinue the app.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, with the Tokyo District Court as the exclusive court of first instance.
