Using the app
How do I create an event that repeats every Hijri year?
Tap + on the Calendar tab, then under "Repeat" choose Every Hijri year. It comes around on the same Hijri day and month, exactly once a year. The Gregorian date moves about 11 days earlier each year, but you never have to set it again. While creating the event, the preview shows which Gregorian dates it will fall on.
The dates don't match my local sighting announcement
Go to Settings → Calendar → Sighting adjustment and set the overall offset to match your area (-2 to +2 days). The calendar display and the dates of every saved reminder follow automatically. If only one month has shifted, use the Pro "per-month override" — it takes precedence over the overall offset.
How do I change the calculation method?
Settings → Calendar → "Calculation method": Umm al-Qura (default), Civil or Tabular. Umm al-Qura is the official calendar of Saudi Arabia. Methods can differ by a day or two.
How do I change the week start or weekend?
Pick a regional preset in Settings and your week start (Saturday or Sunday) and weekend (Fri–Sat or Sat–Sun) are set to match. You can also change each one individually.
How do I use Arabic-Indic numerals (٤٥٦)?
Settings → Display → "Numerals" lets you switch between Arabic-Indic and Western numerals. The initial value follows your language setting.
My occasions aren't showing
Occasions are not enabled in bulk, because dates and names vary by region and school of thought. Open the Occasions tab and turn on the ones you follow. The free version shows the current Hijri year; Pro shows every year.
Notifications
I'm not getting notifications
Check iOS Settings → Notifications → Qamari to make sure they're allowed. A Focus mode can also hold them back. You can see the current status in the app under Settings → Notifications.
Are my far-future reminders really scheduled?
iOS lets an app schedule 64 pending notifications at a time. Qamari keeps the nearest 50 scheduled and refills them as they are delivered and each time you open the app. There is no limit on the number of events themselves (Pro).
Purchases
How do I restore my purchase?
Settings → "Restore Purchases", or the same button on the paywall. You need to be signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with.
Is it a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase. Buy it once and there is nothing further to pay.
I'd like a refund
Refunds are handled by Apple. Please use reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
Only on your device. No account, nothing sent anywhere, no ads, no tracking. See the privacy policy for details.
I'm getting a new phone
Data lives only on the device, so there is no automatic sync between devices. We recommend exporting your events (.ics) before you switch.
