FAQ

The camera doesn't open when I tap capture

Check that iOS Settings > SakuLog > Camera is enabled. Note that the document camera isn't available on the Simulator and on some devices — use "Choose from Photos" instead.

An artwork is filed under the wrong age

Check both your child's birth month and the artwork's date. Age is calculated as how old the child was on the artwork's date. You can change the date any time from the artwork detail screen. Artworks dated before the birth month are grouped under "Other".

My artworks don't appear on my other device

Make sure both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled. The Settings screen shows the current state under "iCloud sync" (On / This device only). If it says "This device only", sign in to iCloud from iOS Settings.

I want to share with family

Sharing between different Apple Accounts isn't supported. Export a yearly PDF (full access) and send that to family who live elsewhere.

I want to undo releasing an artwork

Open the artwork from the gallery and set "The original" back to Kept — the release date is cleared too. If you're still in organize mode, use Undo to reverse the last decision.

I purchased but nothing unlocked

Try Restore purchase on the paywall or in Settings. You must be signed in with the Apple Account you purchased with. If your purchase needs family approval (Ask to Buy), full access unlocks automatically once it's approved.

I want to use less storage

By default photos are resized to 3,000px on the long edge. If "Save at original quality" is on in Settings, photos are saved without resizing and use more space. Settings shows how much you're currently using.

Can I back up my data?

Your artworks live in your own iCloud, so they carry over when you replace your device as long as iCloud is enabled. We also recommend exporting a yearly PDF as a keepsake copy of the years that matter most.
