Kajimieru
130 invisible chores, turned into numbers in ten minutes.
Deciding what to cook. Noticing the detergent is running low. Remembering when the next vaccination is due. None of it counts as “a chore”, and yet somebody does it every day.
Kajimieru organises 130 of these easy-to-miss tasks into 11 categories and shows how you split them, in counts and percentages. It is not a daily tracker — it is a one-off stocktake.
What it does
- 130 tasks in 11 categories. Open a category and work down the list
- A four-state toggle (you / your partner / both / not set). Tap the same chip again to clear it
- Leave out what doesn’t apply. Up to 28 tasks won’t apply to a given household — no children, no car, renting so repairs aren’t yours. Swipe left and they drop out of the totals
- See the split. Counts and percentages to one decimal place, an overall stacked bar, and a breakdown by category
- Take it with you. Share as an image, or export CSV
- Backup and restore. Write a file, keep it, and restore from it on a new phone
The percentages may not add up to 100%
Three rounded percentages can total 99.9% or 100.1%. That is the arithmetic showing through. We don’t nudge the numbers to look tidy.
It doesn’t decide who is right
No scores and no grades. Just counts and percentages. The app says so itself: “These numbers don’t decide who is right. Use them as a starting point for a conversation.”
