Frequently asked questions

Do I use this every day?

No. It is a one-off stocktake. There are no daily checkboxes and no reminders. Open it again when something changes.

The percentages don’t add up to 100%

That’s expected. Each of the three percentages is rounded to one decimal place, so the total can come to 99.9% or 100.1%. We don’t adjust the numbers to make them tidy.

Some tasks don’t apply to my household

Swipe left on the row and choose “Not applicable”. It drops out of the totals. You can also clear whole groups at once from the opening questions (children, car, owning your home, pets, garden, caring for a relative). To bring them back, go to Settings → Not applicable.

I picked the wrong person

Tap a different chip to switch. To clear the assignment entirely, tap the chip that is currently selected a second time.

I want to start over

Settings → Reset assignments puts every task back to “not set” and keeps your “not applicable” marks. To clear those as well, use Delete all data.

How do I move to a new phone?

Settings → Backup & restore → Create a backup writes a file. On the new device, open the same screen and choose Restore from a backup. Your data lives on the device only, so this step is what carries it across.

I purchased full access but nothing unlocked

Check that you are signed in with the same Apple ID, then run “Restore purchases” from Settings or from the full-access screen.

Can I change the names?

Yes, with full access: Settings → Names. Up to 20 characters each; emoji aren’t allowed. Leave a field blank to go back to the default.

Can I use it in Japanese?

Yes. Settings → Language. The default follows your system language.
