Information we collect

Waqtain does not collect personal information. There is no account, and we do not obtain your name, email address, phone number or device identifiers.

Where data is stored

Your tasks, settings and calendar selections are stored only on your device. Neither the developer nor any third party can access them.

Network communication

Apart from App Store purchase processing (provided by Apple), this app performs no network communication. It contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Location

Prayer times are derived from the position of the sun, so your latitude and longitude are used. Location is used solely to calculate prayer times and never leaves your device.

Only When In Use authorization is requested. Always authorization and background location updates are not used.

If you decline location access, you can still use every feature of the app by choosing a city manually.

Calendar

Reading: events from the calendars you select are read so they can be laid over your work windows. They are processed only on your device and are never transmitted. Writing: exporting prayer blocks is off by default. When enabled, the app creates a dedicated calendar named “Waqtain” and writes only to it. Your existing calendars are never modified. Turning the export off removes everything that was exported.

Read and write permissions are requested separately. If you only read events, write access is never requested. You can revoke either at any time in iOS Settings.

Notifications

Only if you enable them, local notifications are scheduled on your device to help you wrap up work before each prayer. Their content is never transmitted. These are not adhan notifications.

Backup

You can export your tasks and settings as a JSON file. You choose where it is saved; the developer has no knowledge of the location or contents.

Children's privacy

This app is not designed for children. Please use it in accordance with its age rating.

Deleting your data

Tasks can be deleted individually. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page will be updated.
