Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 August 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern your use of Arari (the "app") for iOS, iPadOS and macOS, provided by freetokyo (the "developer"). By using the app you agree to them.
2. What the app is
The app calculates gross profit and a real hourly rate from the revenue, hours and expenses you enter, and prints the fields a document needs. Everything it shows comes from your own input. It is not tax, legal or accounting advice. Treatment of consumption tax, withholding tax, VAT and other taxes differs by country and by transaction. Check what applies to you with a qualified professional such as a tax adviser or lawyer.
3. Pricing and auto-renewing subscription
The app's core features are free. Additional features are unlocked by purchasing "Arari Pro".
- Arari Pro is an auto-renewing yearly subscription. The price shown in the App Store for your region applies
- First-time subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. Unless cancelled, billing starts automatically when the trial ends
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged to your Apple Account within 24 hours before the period ends
- You can cancel at any time in your Apple Account settings under Subscriptions. Cancelling does not refund the portion of the period already elapsed
- Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased
- There is no monthly plan. Family Sharing is not supported
- Purchases and refunds are handled under Apple's terms
4. Restoring a purchase
An active subscription can be re-enabled on any device signed in to the same Apple Account via "Restore purchases", available both in the app's settings and on the Pro screen. The iOS, iPadOS and macOS versions share one App Record (Universal Purchase), so one subscription covers all three.
5. After the subscription ends
Your data is not deleted when a subscription ends. Viewing, exporting PDFs and CSV files, and exporting a backup all remain available. Only creating and editing stop.
6. Storage and loss of data
Your data is stored on your device (and, if you enable sync, in your own iCloud account). The developer keeps no copy and therefore cannot recover data lost through device failure, loss, a reset, or deleting the app. Export a backup with the app's backup feature and keep it yourself.
7. Restrictions
- Reverse engineering, decompiling or modifying the app
- Redistributing or selling the app or its bundled data
- Using the app for unlawful purposes
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. A revised version takes effect when it is published on this page.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan.

Limitation of liability
Notwithstanding any other provision of these terms, Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for any damages arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app. Where such a limitation is not permitted by mandatory law, we are liable to the extent that law provides.
