Your client cards. Kartella never sends them anywhere.
A client record app for freelance hairdressers, chair renters and mobile stylists,
and for salons run by one person. Clients, formulas and photos are recorded without an account and without a server.
iPhone / iPad · iOS 18.0 or later · seven languages · no account · one-time purchase
What "never sends" is backed by
There is no account
No sign-up screen exists. The app has no code that talks to a server, so it never asks for permission to use the network.
Nothing is collected
No analytics SDK and no advertising SDK. The App Privacy declaration is "Data Not Collected".
Device backups are explained too
If you use an iOS device backup, this app's data is included in it. The settings screen says so, and there is a switch to exclude it. We do not claim your data is "only on your device".
What you can record
Client cards
Name, reading, phone and up to eight tags. The note you always want to see first is pinned to the top of the card.
Visit history
Date, service, time taken and a free-text note about the price. Past dates are allowed, because most people write the visit up afterwards.
Colour formulas
Product, grams, developer percentage and processing time. Save the mixes you use often as templates, then copy and adjust.
Before and after photos
Take one or pick from the library, then write on top of it by hand. Photos are resized to 2048px on the long edge.
Patch tests
Date, brand, product and result. The validity period is 180 days by default and can be set from 30 to 730.
Service and product lists
Add the services, products and brands you use most, then pick them instead of typing the same name again.
Patch test dates do not depend on notifications
Record the date and the result, and Kartella works out when the period you set runs out. A badge appears in the client list and on the card as the date approaches, so you see it even with notifications switched off. Notifications are a secondary reminder.
If you record a product from a different brand than last time, Kartella points that out. It does not tell you what to do about it — it states the fact that the two brands differ, and nothing more.
You can also keep the client's signature. It is taken full screen in landscape, after showing the client what they are signing for. The signature is kept as a record; no legal effect is claimed for it.
When a client asks to see or delete their records
Export one client as a PDF
Just that person's records, with or without the photos. You choose where the file is saved, each time you export.
Delete identifying details
Name, reading, phone, notes, photos and the signature image are deleted. The test record keeps only the date, brand, product and result, no longer linked to any client.
Delete everything
Including the unlinked record. Before you choose, the app shows what will remain and what will go.
The deletion log keeps only the time and which of the two was used. It contains nothing that identifies a client.
When you hand the phone to a client
Client viewing mode shows that person's photos full screen and nothing else. No other client's details appear. To leave it, use Face ID / Touch ID or press and hold for two seconds — a single tap will not close it, so the client can touch the screen safely.
The app itself can be locked as well, immediately or 30 seconds or 5 minutes after it goes to the background.
You decide how long records are kept
Set a period (6 years by default, 1 to 10) and Kartella reminds you to review records that old. It never deletes anything on its own. Whether to delete is always your call.

Everything to do with your clients' safety, rights and privacy is free. What you pay for is volume and your own convenience. When you reach a free limit, reading, editing, exporting and deleting existing records all keep working — the limit only stops you adding a sixteenth client. Full access is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
Questions
Where are the records kept?
On your device. Kartella never sends them anywhere. If you use an iOS device backup, this app's data is included in that backup — that is how iOS works, not something the app does. You can switch that off in settings, but then a lost or replaced phone cannot be restored, so use the app's own backup instead.
What happens when I change phones?
Export an encrypted backup from settings, choosing whether to include photos, and read it in on the new device. You choose where the file is saved (Files, iCloud Drive and so on).
Is there cloud sync?
No. Sync would contradict "never sends", so it is deliberately not implemented.
Does it judge allergy risk?
No. It records the date, brand, product and result, and tells you when the period you set has passed. It does not decide whether a service should go ahead.
Does it do bookings or sales reports?
No. There is no booking, payment or sales analysis. It is a client record and formula app.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. It is a universal purchase, so one payment covers iPhone and iPad.
Is it a subscription?
No. It is a one-time purchase.
Please note
This app is a tool for keeping records. It does not guarantee compliance with any law or industry standard, does not promise that insurance requirements are met, and does not prevent allergic reactions. How and how often to patch test, and whether to carry out a service, are for you to decide with the product instructions and, where needed, a qualified professional. The signature feature keeps a signature as a record; no legal effect is claimed. For clients under the age of majority the app provides a note field only and makes no age-related legal judgement.
