Records stop being readable when you move

A vaccination record is usually written in the format of the country where it was given, using the product names sold there. What makes a move hard is that the record you hold can no longer be lined up against the standard schedule of the country you now live in. Product names, dose counts and even the names of the programmes differ.

Immulog stores each record by antigen — by which disease the vaccination was against. Because it is not stored as a product name, the record keeps its meaning in a country where the combination vaccines are put together differently.

The country it was given in is always recorded

That is not an afterthought to be filled in later. Which country a vaccination was given in decides which antigens the product maps to, and whether it was part of that country's routine schedule. So it is a required field.

When you enter a product, Immulog expands it into antigens by matching on both the country and the date, because the same trade name can contain different antigens in different countries or approval periods. When it cannot be resolved, it says so — "we cannot identify the composition of this product for this country and date; please choose the antigens yourself." It never guesses.

Differences are shown in eight states

Your records are compared with the standard schedule of the country you pick, antigen by antigen. It never says "you are missing this" or "get this vaccination." It reports that there is a difference, and what kind of difference it is.

Every state is carried by colour, icon shape and words together — never colour alone. Warnings are never red. In a medical context red reads as "something is wrong", and it would present something still unconfirmed as a problem. The strongest state stops at terracotta.

Only schedules that may be reused are included

Version 1.0 includes the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan. That looks like a short list. It is the list that survived checking each licence for real.

Material whose reuse terms could not be confirmed is not included, however useful its content. World Health Organization material is not used, because its licence is limited to non-commercial use. No country is in here on the strength of "probably open."

The United States schedule carries a piece of history. A preliminary order of 16 March 2026 stayed the decision memo of 5 January 2026, so the July 2, 2025 schedule is the one CDC currently publishes. That is the version included here, and the sequence of events is shown in the source panel. Immulog does not say which of them is right.

The source and the date it was checked are always visible

Every schedule screen carries its publisher, licence, data version and the date it was last checked. That panel cannot be collapsed, and a link to the official page sits next to it.

Once six months have passed since a schedule was last checked, the screen says so: please confirm the current version on the official site. Schedules change, and the app should not look as though they do not.

A PDF you can hand to a clinician

You can produce a PDF for a clinician in the country you are moving to or travelling through. Every antigen is printed with its English name alongside, and the source, licence and reference date of the schedule are printed on the page, so the person reading it can check where it came from.

Including the child's name is optional. The date of birth is always included, because the age at each vaccination cannot be read without it.

No communication, no account, no server

Immulog does not communicate. There is no sign-up, and the developer has no server. No advertising SDK and no analytics SDK are built in, so the developer has no way of knowing how the app is used.

What it does not claim is that "your data never leaves your device." If iCloud Backup is enabled, this app's data is part of that backup exactly like any other app's. That backup is handled by Apple, not by this app. Losing a child's record at a device change is the worse outcome, so the data is deliberately left inside the backup.

Backup export and import are free

Every record can be exported as a JSON file and imported back. This is not behind the purchase — your records are not held hostage. Import adds to what is already there; nothing is replaced or removed.

The exported file is plain and unencrypted, and it contains a child's health record. Please be careful where you save or send it — the app says the same thing before every export. A PDF is not a backup: it cannot be restored.

Free and full access

Full access is one payment, with nothing that renews automatically (a non-consumable in-app purchase). The price is shown in the App Store and on the purchase screen. Purchases can be restored from both the purchase screen and Settings. The heart of the app — switching country and seeing the differences — has no free limit at all. When more countries are added, people who have already bought it pay nothing extra.

Reminders

A local notification tells you when a reference date on the standard schedule is coming up. The wording stays at "this is around the reference date on the standard schedule; please check with a healthcare provider" — it never instructs you to vaccinate. Permission for notifications is requested only when you turn reminders on in Settings.

What it does not do

• It does not generate individual recommendations. Gestational age, medical history, immune status and a clinician's individual instructions are not taken into account.
• It does not adjust a vaccination plan.
• It does not assess any reaction. The note field is free text and nothing in it is judged.
• It does not decide school or entry requirements. Those differ by country, state and school.
• It has no photo attachments. Photographs of record booklets or certificates are not handled.
• There is no sync between devices. Moving data is done with a backup file.
• There is no in-app lock. Use your device's own passcode or Face ID.

What Immulog shows is a mechanical comparison between the records you entered and a published standard schedule. It is not what your child needs. Gestational age, medical history, immune status and a clinician's individual instructions are not taken into account.

Whether, when and which vaccinations are appropriate is a decision to make with a healthcare provider. Immulog makes no claim about the accuracy or completeness of what it shows. Schedules change: the current version is on the official pages linked from every schedule screen.
