What we collect

We collect nothing about you or your students through this app. It contains no networking code, there is no server and there is no account. No analytics SDK and no advertising SDK are included. The App Store privacy declaration is "Data Not Collected".

Where your data is kept

Students, passes, the transaction ledger, attendance history and notes are all stored on your device, in the app's application-support area.

By default this data is included in your iOS device backup — lesson records are a business asset, and losing them does more harm than the alternative. You can exclude it from "where your data lives" in Settings.

What leaves the device when you ask it to

The app itself does not communicate, but two actions hand data to someone you choose.

Sharing a balance summary

Text or a PDF goes to whichever app you pick in the share sheet. Amounts are not included in the summary.

Writing a backup

The backup file goes to the location you choose. It is not encrypted and contains student names and records. Please keep that in mind when deciding where to put it.

Those are the only two routes out, and both require you to act.

Permissions

Face ID / Touch ID

Used only to unlock the app. The biometric data itself is handled by iOS; this app never receives it.

Notifications

Used only for expiry warnings and passes running low. You can stop notifications naming the student. Permission is requested when you first do something that needs it, never at launch.

No other permission is requested — not location, camera, photos, contacts or microphone. No background execution is declared.

Deleting a student's information

There are two options. Removing the name, contact details and notes keeps the records in a form that no longer identifies the student, and they remain in your totals. Deleting everything removes their passes and ledger with them, and cannot be undone.

Settings can also delete all data at once.

Children's information

This app is intended for instructors to use in their work. If a student is a minor, whether to enter their details, and whether to obtain a guardian's consent, is your decision and your responsibility. We never receive that information.

Third parties

We do not receive your information, so we have nothing to pass to anyone else.

Controller, contact and your rights

This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.

Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.

Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
