Big buttons, quick hands
Tap an item and the quantity goes up; the total stays large enough to read across the stall. Buttons are at least 96pt so they can be hit with gloves on, and figures are monospaced so the columns line up and digits are hard to misread.
Suggested amounts
The exact amount, the next round figure, and the single note that covers it. Pick one and the change appears, broken down into the notes and coins to hand back.
Payment methods
Cash, QR and e-money, card, or other. The app never processes payments — the method is a label used for totals and for the cash count.
Voids stay on the record
A mistaken sale can be voided. The record is not erased; it is kept and marked as voided, so you can trace a difference later.
Making "the cash doesn't match" traceable
You count the drawer at the end of the day and it is not what you expected, and you go home without knowing why. That is the most common frustration at a small stall. Tillcount builds up the expected cash like this:
opening float + cash sales − voids + paid in − paid out = the cash you should have
Enter what you counted, denomination by denomination, and the difference appears. When there is one, the voided sales and the cash movements are listed as the likely explanation.
Cash movements
Topping up the change float, moving takings somewhere safe, paying the pitch fee. Record the cash that never goes through a sale — without it a difference is guaranteed and unexplainable.
Denominations per currency
Tables are included for 28 currencies, among them JPY, USD, EUR, GBP, CNY, KRW, INR and BRL. For any other currency you enter the counted total directly.
Closed means closed
Once you close an event you can no longer record or void sales in it. You can reopen it if you must correct something, and the reopening is recorded and shown.
A difference is not unusual. This app is not here to blame you for one — it is here to help you find where it came from.
Tax and currency
Each item carries its own tax rate and can be priced tax-inclusive or tax-added. Totals are broken down by rate, but the amount charged is always the tax-inclusive total, so tendering, change and the cash count never drift apart under tax-added pricing.
One currency per event. No exchange rates are fetched (and no connection is made to fetch them). Once a sale has been recorded the currency is locked, because changing it would make the recorded amounts meaningless.
Your records stay on your device
Everything is calculated and stored on this device. No account, no sign-in, nothing sent anywhere. The flip side is that losing the device means losing the records — which is why backup and restore are here.
Backup and restore
Write a JSON file and read it back. Restoring adds to what you have and never deletes it; a matching event is added separately and the count is reported.
CSV export
Date and time, item, unit price, quantity, tax rate, amount, payment method, void flag and currency. An exported file is a copy of your records — exporting is not a backup, as it cannot be read back in.
Delete everything
Settings has a single action that clears all records. Deleting the app removes them too.
Free and full access
Items, sales, change and tax are unlimited and free. Running a cash-up and seeing the difference is always free too — the feature this app exists for is one you can try in full before deciding to buy.
The free version keeps one saved event. Reaching that limit never deletes anything: records are hidden, and they come back exactly as they were when you unlock full access.
Full access is a one-time purchase and adds unlimited saved events, revisiting past cash-ups, all-time totals, CSV export, and backup and restore. Buy once and keep it. Nothing renews.
