Baytlog keeps a maintenance record for your villa. It has no account, no advertising and no analytics.
What we collect
Nothing. Baytlog has no account and no sign-in, the developer operates no server, and the app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. The developer has no way to see how you use the app or what you record in it.
Where your records are stored
Your villas, equipment, service entries, amounts, contractor contacts, notes, photos and receipts are stored in Baytlog's own storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS Data Protection.
If you have Baytlog Pro you may turn on iCloud sync. When it is on, the same records are also stored in your own iCloud private database under your Apple Account, so that your other devices can see them. This is Apple's storage, not ours: the developer cannot read it, and Apple's privacy terms apply to it. iCloud sync is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off again at any time.
Location
Baytlog never asks for your location. It does not use Location Services at all.
To notice dusty days it needs an approximate area, so during setup you drag a map until the pin is near your villa. The point you pick is rounded to about one kilometre and saved with your villa. Your street address is never required.
Weather
When Baytlog checks whether a day was dusty, it sends that rounded area to Apple's WeatherKit and receives the weather back. The request goes to Apple, not to the developer. It happens at most once a day per villa, and only if you have set an area. Apple's privacy terms cover that request.
Raw weather values are not printed in the handover file. Only Baytlog's own count of the dusty days you confirmed appears there.
Photos and receipts
Photos are attached through the standard iOS photo picker and receipts (PDF or image files) through the standard file picker. Both give Baytlog only the items you select. Baytlog does not request access to your photo library as a whole, and the files stay on your iPhone (and, if you enabled it, in your own iCloud private database).
Notifications
Reminders are off until you turn them on in Settings. When you turn them on, iOS asks whether Baytlog may send notifications; if you decline, the rest of the app is unaffected.
Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone by the app itself. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any server, and no push service is involved. Turning reminders off cancels every reminder Baytlog has scheduled.
The handover file and backups
The handover PDF and the full backup are created on your iPhone. Baytlog does not upload them anywhere. When you share one — by email, messaging or AirDrop — it leaves Baytlog's control, so treat it like any other copy of your records. The backup contains your original photos and receipts; the handover PDF includes photos only if you asked for them.
Contractors
Names, phone numbers and notes you save for contractors stay in your own records. They are never shared, published, ranked or sent to anyone, including the contractors themselves. There is no referral or matching service in Baytlog.
Purchases
Baytlog Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. The purchase is handled by Apple; the developer receives no payment details and never sees your card, address or Apple Account. Baytlog only asks Apple whether an active subscription exists.
Children
Baytlog is a tool for property owners and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your control
You can delete any entry, any villa, or everything at once from inside the app (Settings › Delete all data), and deleting an entry also removes the photo and receipt files behind it. Deleting the app removes the data held on that iPhone. If you turned on iCloud sync, records in your own iCloud private database are removed by deleting them in the app or by removing Baytlog's data from iCloud in iOS Settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
