By downloading or using Baytlog you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
What Baytlog is
Baytlog is a personal record-keeping tool for the equipment in your own property. The record it produces is compiled by you from your own entries. It is not verified by any third party, it is not a certificate, inspection report or proof of maintenance, and it does not establish the condition of any equipment or property.
Baytlog does not provide engineering, legal, health, tax or valuation advice, and makes no claim about the value of any property.
Suggested intervals
The service intervals shown in the app are drawn from documents published by public authorities, and each one is shown with its source so you can read it yourself. They are presented as suggestions, not as a legal requirement, and they may be out of date or may not apply to your property. Every interval can be replaced with your own. You remain responsible for meeting any obligation that actually applies to you, and for confirming it with the relevant authority.
Dusty days
Days marked as dusty are Baytlog's own reading of weather data from Apple Weather for the area you selected. They are not an official weather warning, an air-quality measurement, or a statement that a sandstorm occurred. You confirm or reject each day, and only the days you confirm are counted. Suggestions to bring a service forward are suggestions; Baytlog never schedules or books anything.
Recorded and performed dates
A "Recorded" date is set by your device when you save an entry and cannot be edited. A "Performed" date is entered by you and can be anything you type. Both appear in the handover file, and the distinction is printed on it. Baytlog does not and cannot verify that any work described in an entry took place.
Subscriptions
Baytlog Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered on a monthly or yearly term. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in Settings on your iPhone. Current prices are shown on the purchase screen and in the App Store. Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms; you can restore an earlier purchase from the purchase screen.
If Pro ends, nothing is deleted. Villas beyond the free limit become read only: you can still open them, read them, and include them in a backup, but new entries in them are paused until Pro resumes.
Checking that a subscription is still active requires an internet connection at least once every 14 days. Pro features remain available during that period without a connection.
Your data and backups
Your records are stored on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud private database if you enable iCloud sync. You are responsible for keeping your own backups. Deleting the app deletes the data held on that device. See our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Record only information you are entitled to keep. If you save a contractor's name or phone number, you are responsible for handling it lawfully. Do not use Baytlog to present its output as a third-party inspection, certification or endorsement.
Warranty
Baytlog is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
