Privacy Policy

What the developer receives

The developer does not receive the data you enter into the app. No account is required. Client details, kitchen notes, menus, photos and amounts are stored on your device, and the developer has no access to them.

The app contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDKs.

About network traffic

The app communicates with Apple's App Store to check the status of a Chezlog Premium subscription. That exchange is handled by Apple and does not include the data you entered.

If you have enabled iCloud Backup for your device, the app's data is included in that backup by Apple's own mechanism. This is standard iOS behaviour, governed by Apple's privacy policy. The developer cannot access it.

Information about third parties (your clients)

The app is designed so that you can record information about your own clients, including names, contact details and dietary restrictions such as allergies.

You are responsible for obtaining your client's consent before recording their information. The app provides a field for the date consent was obtained, but obtaining it is your responsibility.

If a client asks you to remove their information, deletion happens in two steps:

  • Remove contact details — name, contact, notes and kitchen photos are deleted; job records remain under an anonymous number.
  • Delete the records — every record for that client, including jobs, menus, costs and photos, is removed from the device.

Storage and export

  • Data is stored on your device.
  • You can export an encrypted backup file at any time, protected by a passphrase you choose. Encryption uses Apple's CryptoKit (AES-GCM 256). The passphrase is not stored anywhere; if you forget it, the file cannot be opened again.
  • Per-client export (JSON), bookkeeping export (CSV) and documents (PDF) are produced on your request. Files you export are under your control.

Device features

  • Photos: the app uses the standard iOS photo picker, so it does not ask for access to your whole library. Only the images you select are passed to the app.
  • Face ID / Touch ID: used for the optional app lock. Off by default; authentication stays on the device.
  • Notifications: used for reminders before a job. Off by default.
  • Location, contacts, calendar and microphone are not used.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple's App Store. The developer never receives your payment details.

Children

The app is a business record-keeping tool for professionals and is not directed at children.

Controller, contact and your rights

This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.

If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.

Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.

Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
