Privacy Policy
This explains how Hemlog (“the app”) handles personal information and what you enter.
Information we collect
The app collects nothing about you. No name, no email address, no device identifier, no usage data.
Where your data is stored
Hemlog does not connect to the internet. There is no account, and nothing is sent to the developer.
If iCloud Backup is on for the device, Hemlog's data is included in Apple's backup, like any other app. That backup is handled by Apple, not by Hemlog.
No analytics or advertising SDK is included, so the developer has no way to see how you use the app.
Device features used
- Camera — to take photos of the work as you go.
- Face ID / Touch ID — to unlock the app. Biometric data is handled by iOS and is never seen by the app.
Choosing an existing photo goes through the standard iOS picker, so no photo library permission is requested. Location, contacts, microphone and notifications are not used.
About your customers' information
The names and contact details you enter are information you control as a business. The developer never receives or stores them, and complying with applicable law is your responsibility.
For when a customer asks you to remove their details, the app separates “remove contact details” (which replaces the name with an anonymous ID and keeps the alteration records) from “delete everything”. Which is appropriate is your decision; this is not legal advice.
Exporting and deleting your data
In Settings you can create a full export (a `.hemlog` file including photos), restore from one, and export the ledger as TSV. The ledger export does not contain photos and is not a backup. Deleting the app removes the data on the device.
Contact
Controller, contact and your rights
This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.
Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
