Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Hemlog (“the app”). By using the app you agree to them.

Pricing and billing

Recording is free. Full access is available as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time purchase with no auto-renewal.

A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Cancel in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions on your device. The one-time purchase does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.

After cancelling you can still view, edit, delete and back up your records.

Responsibility for your data

You are responsible for managing what you enter. In case your device fails, is lost or is replaced, we recommend creating a backup file with “Create a backup file” in Settings. The ledger TSV does not contain photos and cannot be used as a backup.

About the receipt of item

The “receipt of item” the app produces is a printable summary of what you recorded. No tax is calculated and no number is assigned automatically. Whether it is suitable for accounting or tax purposes is for you to determine.

Prohibited use

  • Modifying or decompiling the app
  • Use for any unlawful purpose
  • Recording or distributing content that infringes the rights of others

Disclaimer

This app is a tool for keeping your own records. It does not guarantee that a garment will come out the same, nor any legal effect. How a fabric shrinks or relaxes depends on the material and how it is handled. The final judgement is yours.

The developer is not liable for damages arising from use of this app. The app may change or be discontinued without notice.

Authoritative version

The Japanese and English versions of these terms are both authoritative; other languages are reference translations.

Limitation of liability (overriding)

Notwithstanding any other provision of these terms, Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability for any damages arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app. Where such a limitation is not permitted by mandatory law, we are liable to the extent that law provides.
