Lesson Report — last updated 21 August 2026
1. In short
- There is no account. We never ask for an email address.
- There is nowhere for your records to be sent to us. We don't run a server for them.
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDK is included.
- If you turn on iCloud sync (off by default), your records go to your own iCloud. We cannot read it.
- Even with sync off, this app's data is included in your iPhone's iCloud backup, or in a backup made to a computer.
2. What the app holds
The app stores what you type, on your device:
- Student display name, year or grade, subjects, the parent's form of address
- Lesson date and time, length, book or worksheet, pages, topics, understanding, engagement, your notes
- Homework you set and how it went
- Saved comments, report template settings, your logo image
- The report PDFs you create
All of it is what you entered. The app collects nothing on its own. It does not access your location, contacts, photo library (beyond an image you pick as a logo), or microphone.
3. About your students' and their parents' information (important)
What you enter includes information about the children you teach and their parents. Because none of it reaches us, you are the one holding it.
Depending on where you teach, that can come with obligations — telling parents what you keep, responding if they ask you to delete it, and keeping your own record of the work you did. The app provides two-level deletion and record export to help with that, but this page is general information, not legal advice. If you are unsure what applies to you, speak to a qualified adviser.
4. Network use
The app connects to the network only in these cases:
- The App Store (StoreKit) — to make a purchase and to check whether you have one. This is between you and Apple, and carries none of your records.
- iCloud (CloudKit private database) — only if you turn sync on. Your records go to your own iCloud, which we cannot access.
There is no other route by which the content of your records leaves the app.
5. Permissions
| Permission | Used for | If you decline |
|---|---|---|
| Face ID / Touch ID | Confirming it's you when the app lock is on | You can't use the lock; everything else works |
| Notifications | A reminder when a scheduled lesson is due to end | You don't get reminders; everything else works |
| Photos (single selection) | Choosing a logo for the report | No logo on the report; everything else works |
Each is asked for at the moment you first use that feature, never all at once on launch.
6. Keeping and deleting
Your data lives on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turned sync on. We set no retention limit.
You can delete from Settings or from a student's screen. Per student you can choose "Delete this student's information" (removes what identifies them and every report PDF, keeping an anonymous record of the lessons) or "Delete everything". Deleting the app removes its data from the device.
However, the contents of backups that were already made cannot be changed from inside the app. Removing data from those has to be done through your device's or your computer's backup management.
7. Taking your records with you
Settings lets you export your records as CSV or JSON at any time, on the free tier. A full export including the report PDFs is also available. Nothing is locked in.
8. Children
This app is designed to be used by an adult tutor. There is no student login, no student input, and no screen intended for a child to operate. It is not distributed in the App Store Kids Category.

10. Changes
If this policy changes, the updated text and its date will be published on this page.
Controller, contact and your rights
This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.
Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
