Privacy Policy
This page explains how Nenrin (“the app”) handles information.
What is collected
The app collects no personal information. It does not obtain your name, email address, device identifiers or usage data. No account is required and no data is sent to the developer, who runs no server.
No advertising SDK and no analytics or tracking SDK is built in, so the developer has no means of learning how the app is used.
Where data is stored
Trees, care records, observations, photos and settings are stored on your device.
If iCloud Backup is enabled on the device, the app's data is included in that backup along with other apps'. That backup is handled by Apple, not by this app.
iCloud sync (Premium, optional)
With iCloud sync enabled on Premium, your trees and records are stored in your own iCloud private database and synced between devices signed in to the same Apple Account. That store is operated by Apple and its contents are not visible to the developer. Sync can be turned off at any time in settings; turning it off deletes nothing on the device.
Weather data (network traffic)
With Premium climate adjustment enabled, the app makes a network request to fetch weather. It sends the tree's location (latitude and longitude) to Apple's WeatherKit and receives the weather for that point.
That exchange is with Apple, not with the developer, who neither receives nor records its contents. Apple's privacy policy governs how WeatherKit handles the request. With climate adjustment off, no such request is made.
The weather values received are stored only on the device, as the history the adjustment needs.
Location
Location access is optional. Onboarding does not ask for it. It is requested only when you choose to set your region from your current location, and when you enable climate adjustment.
Without it, setting the hemisphere and climate zone by hand runs every calendar. Any location obtained or entered is stored on the device and used only to determine the region and to fetch weather as described above.
Device features
Photos and the camera are used only when you add a picture of a tree. Selected images are copied into the app's own storage; the app does not read your photo library as a whole. The microphone and contacts are not used.
Notifications are requested only when you enable reminders. They are composed on the device and do not pass through any external notification server.
Sharing an exported file goes through the standard iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes, and the app does not record that choice.
Purchases
Nenrin Premium purchases and restores are processed by Apple through the App Store. The app reads only whether a subscription is active and never receives your payment details or Apple Account information. Apple's privacy policy governs how that information is handled.
Exporting and deleting your data
Settings offer ledger (CSV / JSON) and backup exports, and deletion of all data. Deleting the app removes its data from the device. If you used iCloud sync, the iCloud copy can also be managed under Settings → your Apple Account → iCloud.
Because the developer holds no copy of your data, there is nothing to request the deletion of.
Children
The app is not directed at any particular age group and collects no information that identifies a person.
Changes to this policy
Changes will be published on this page. The Japanese version is the authoritative text; other languages are reference translations.

This app is provided by freetokyo, an independent developer, who acts as the data controller. For any question about this policy or about personal data, contact freetokyo2020@yahoo.co.jp. We normally reply within five business days.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to withdraw consent and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know, delete and correct the personal information collected about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information.
Where this app stores data only on your device, we have no access to it, so most of these rights are exercised directly on the device: delete or export inside the app, or delete the app. We will still answer any request you send us.
Retention: on-device data is kept until you delete it or remove the app. Support emails are deleted 24 months after the request is closed.
